Have you ever felt a lump in your throat or a knot in your stomach? Tightness around your chest? A sense that you’re not comfortable in your own skin? Chances are your body is trying to tell you something important. In this episode of the Awaken Your Wise Woman podcast, host Elizabeth Cush, LCPC, a licensed professional therapist, founder of Progression Counseling in Annapolis, Md., and a mid-life women’s life coach, the benefits of learning to listen to our bodies and how doing so can help us heal, especially if we have experienced trauma. She’ll talk about why we’ve become disconnected from our bodies, what kinds of things it can tell us and how it can help us get to know our parts. She also discusses her own experience with becoming open to hearing what the body has to say—and what it told her.
